Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the posts of  Lower Division Clerk (Group ‘C’) And Assistant (Group ‘B’) in CABINET SECRETARIAT, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA. Candidates applying for both the posts should send separate applications in separate envelopes.

PB-I 5200-20,200 with Grade pay of 1900/- plus allowances as admissible to Central  Government employees of   equivalent grade. The post  also carries a special allowance of 15% of basic  pay per month.
Between 18 and 27 years on closing date.
i)     12th class pass from a recognized Board or University.
ii)   A typing speed of 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi on computer only.
ASSISTANT
(Group-B, Non-Gazetted)

PB-2 9300-34,800 with Grade pay of   4600/- plus allowances as admissible to Central Government employees of equivalent grade. The post also carries a special allowance of 15% of basic pay per month.
Not exceeding 30 years as on closing date.
Bachelor's Degree of a recognised University or Institution and should have working knowledge of computers.

v Candidate should possess the prescribed educational qualification as on the Closing date. The prescribed educational qualifications are minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for written examination / interview.
v Candidates are required to send their applications in prescribed format incorporated in the advertisement. Form should be filled in English Capital (Block) letters only. The format may be typed on A-4 size paper.
v Candidates are advised to furnish correct information regarding their age, educational qualification and Caste/Category (i.e. SC/ST/OBC/ Ex-servicemen/ J&K resident etc.) in the application form and self-attested copies of the certificate of age, educational qualifications and Caste/Category etc. is required to be attached with the application form.
v Any cutting or over writing in any part of the application form will render it liable to be rejected. Candidates are, therefore, advised to take special care while filling the application form.
v Do not leave any column blank. Incomplete application will be rejected.
v Use only international form of Indian numeral in filling up the form i.e., 1, 2. 3 etc.

v The recruitment process shall consist of following tiers:-
LDC:- Competitive Written exam, Typewriting-test on computer and Interview.
ASSISTANT:- Competitive Written exam and Interview.

Section-I (English language) would be conventional type i.e. descriptive in nature whereas
Section-II (Arithmetic) would be partly objective and partly descriptive.

Section-II (General Intelligence/ Reasoning Ability) would be objective Multiple choice type.


v Candidates, who are already in government service, should submit their applications through respective office/department.
v Medical Standard of the candidates would be as per the Central Govt.  guidelines applicable to group 'C' & 'B' posts.
v The organisation will not be responsible for late / non receipt of call letters for written Examination/ interview due to delay in postal channel.
v The employment carries with it the All India transfer liability.
v Only selected candidates would be informed of their selection in due course after the selection process and no correspondence on the subject would be entertained.

v The envelope should be clearly super scribed as 'APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ("Lower Division Clerk" or "Assistant") and addressed to "Post Bag No. 001, Lodhi Road Head Post Office, New Delhi-110003".

v Candidates applying for both the posts should send separate applications in separate envelopes.
v The closing date for receipt of application is 14/02/2014. Applications received after the above dates shall not be entertained.
